Early in February we once again gathered as a whole school for some friendly competition. This time, with fresh snow on the ground, teams engaged in cardboard sled building and racing. Each team was given a random pile of cardboard and a roll of duck tape then left to their imaginations to come up with a theme, build a sled and get it to the hill for demonstration of sledding skills
The teams showed great imagination in creating a fishing boat, limousine, Hawaiian surf get- away among other great ideas. Hard work was displayed in sled creation, but sticky wet snow slowed any real progress down the hill. Even with big running starts, most teams only made it half way down. Spirits were not crushed and teams cheered each other on as everyone gave their best effort!
